Postnatal Doula Support

What is a Postnatal Doula?

A Postnatal Doula provides support for women and families after they have had a baby. Usually this means coming to your home (when you are ready) and providing you with practical and emotional support. This may look like one visit soon after the baby is born and then further visits spaced out over the next few weeks.

I personally experienced a lonely postpartum experience with my first born and this fuelled my desire to become a Doula. So much focus is put onto the birthing woman during pregnancy and labour and often she can feel forgotten during her postpartum period, especially if she does not have family living nearby.

I have a particular interest in providing nourishing snacks and food using organic produce which can help your body heal from growing and birthing your baby.

A woman is kneeling on a sandy beach, holding a young child in her arms. The child, with light blond hair, is shirtless and appears to be relaxed. The woman is wearing a black top with a pattern, and her hair is dark and wavy. The background shows the ocean and a cloudy sky.
